IT Analyst – CISSP/ITIL


12 month contract


Wauwatosa, WI



Duties: 


Recommends and communicates process optimization efforts, project statuses, and decisions in terms understood by all users to ensure fundamental understanding and project support to drive significant operational and revenue improvements.  Understands regional and local business plans to to deliver IT projects and leverages industry standards for establishing common practices. Develops merit and business case documents that match the business goals and follow our financial approval process. Facilitate the derivation of benefits and cost estimates from high level business needs.



Take complex business challenges and break them into iterative value delivery scenarios in collaboration with business stakeholders. Analyzes metrics and data to inform others of the value and benefits of decisions by business, others in IT and third party vendors. Manages service level standards and customer satisfaction scores for IT support by identifying root cause issues, implementing improvement plans, and collaborating with the user community to set expectations, priorities and align the IT services to the expectations. Recommends and creates communications materials for end users, conducts process improvement workshops, and teaches customers how to use IT products and services to achieve business value.  Provides guidance to entry level IT Analysts or Interns. Performs other duties as assigned.



Working with the IT Security Manager to help implement security program initiatives. Working independently with minimal supervision, proactively improving current IT security processes and growth through technology enablement. Develops communication strategy and standardized reporting processes and tools. Designs and implements solutions to drive continuous improvement of IT Security environments. Analyzes data to make recommendations for improving and enhancing alignment of IT Security and business strategies.



Assist in the design and implementation of security program initiatives.



Job Requirements

Skills:    


Demonstrated business process knowledge/skill across multiple Business Functions. Demonstrated functional application knowledge/skill within multiple applications . Consultancy, communication and relationship management skills.  Solid knowledge of IT industry, vendors, best practices and standards.  Demonstrated analytical ability and fact-based decision making skills. Experience working with multiple third party vendors.  Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location.


  • Provide cyber threat intelligence thru the monitoring, assessment and communication of events presenting a risk to the environment

  • Identifies, plans, and implements security measures to protect computer systems, networks and data

  • Provide input to ongoing operational development and execution of our Security Incident Management processes

  • Identify gaps in current tools and/or processes and provide recommendations to mitigate that risk

  • Provides guidance to IT Specialists. May train, assign work to and monitor work of IT Specialists based on incident management process

  • Lead response and investigation efforts into advanced/targeted attacks

  • Partners closely with regional and local business users and third parties to deliver IT projects and leverages industry standards for establishing common practices

  • Analyzes metrics and data to inform others of the value and benefits of decisions by business, others in IT and third party vendors

  • Creates recommendations based on data for continuous improvement activities and shared with IT Leadership

  • Manages service level standards and customer satisfaction scores for IT support by identifying root cause issues, implementing improvement plans, and collaborating with the functional user community to set expectations, priorities and align the IT services to the expectations

  • Recommends and creates communications materials for end users, conducts process improvement workshops, and teaches customers how to use IT products and services to achieve business value

  • Knowledge of dynamic malware analysis tools and techniques

  • Previous experience working with SIEM technologies (Splunk, LogRhythym, etc)

  • Previous experience working with hunting tools and technologies (Carbon Black)

  • Experience with Packet analysis technologies

  • Strong Automation skills (Python, PowerShell, etc)

  • Advanced business process knowledge/skill across multiple Business Functions

  • Excellent consultancy and relationship management skills

  • Solid knowledge of IT Security industry, vendors, best practices and standards

  • Well-developed analytic ability and fact-based decision making skills.

  • Comprehensive experience working with multiple third party vendors.



Education:         



•         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field or equivalent education and experience required



•         Minimum of three years of related IT experience.



•         Experience with small to medium-scale project and program management. Experience determining and delivering against business requirements.



•         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent education and experience

•         Strong experience with small to medium-scale project and program management



•         Experience determining and delivering against business requirements



•         Certifications Preferred



•         Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)



•         CISSP or equivalent
