Software Project ManagerPeachtree City, GADirect Hire YOUR MISSION: 
Leading a large virtual cross-functional team designing and developing In-Vehicle-Infotainment software products in a global matrix organization.  Responsible to deliver the product on time with high quality to our customers.  Provides leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimal performance level. 
  • Serves as the internal “face” of assigned programs and projects, interacting with all different level of teams to communicate results, status, risks/issues and mitigation strategies.
  • Concurrently manage multiple projects that are at various stages in the project life cycle.
  • Monitors progress of each assigned program/project against the overall plan and acts with urgency to notify leadership of any issues that require resolution.
  • Drives to the root cause of lagging programs/projects and works with other management teams to define the appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Communicates strategic alignment and objectives of program/project to teams
  • Proactively seeks to develop own skills and those of team members.
  • Coordinates cross-functional relationship-building and integration to support program/project success.
  • Makes continuous improvement a priority by leveraging experience in advanced project management principles.
  • Identify the efficient and effective branch strategy for a complicated software project globally.
  • Works with the product development team to understand product requirements, plan and coordinate development activities, obtain the resources needed for development, ensure software deliveries are met and meet budget, timing, and quality targets.
  • Leads and/or participates in meetings between PASA, suppliers, and PASA’s customers for design reviews and to track project status.
  • Evaluates new software releases from suppliers to ensure it meets the acceptance criteria.
  • Keeps abreast of new technologies and methods for the purpose of recommending changes that will benefit current and future customer programs.
  • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
  • Interprets, enforces and complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.
  • Will initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Four-year college degree in Software, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related degree required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of full lifecycle embedded software development experience in a relevant product design.
  • Minimum five (5) years leading a team of software engineers with a formal development process such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, or Extreme Programming.
  • Experience in designing, developing and debugging software in a real-time embedded environment.
  • Working knowledge of embedded RTOS’s.
  • Expert level of knowledge about Software Configuration Management (SCM) systems.
  • Expert level of knowledge about Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Expert level of knowledge about AGILE and Water Fall.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing, tracking, and delivering KPI metrics, and reports.
  • Managing 3rd parties, and contract suppliers.
  • Experience interfacing with customers, and directing suppliers.
  • Excellent project management skills including planning and time management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams, and teams of teams.
  • Strong software engineering skills (planning, development, tracking, oversight).
