The Sr. Software Quality Cloud Automation Engineer in the Cloud Engineering team will be is responsible for working to develop an automation framework to test cloud platform and automation tools. We are looking for candidates who have a strong background and understanding of automation and cloud technologies, and As-a-Service delivery models Integration between and among technology layers is vital to maintaining accurate, timely and robust service delivery.   Working closely with the business, application and infrastructure teams, the Sr. Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will analyze business and technical problems, work with software engineers and develop the appropriate testing framework and policies to enable Cloud solutions to scale. 


Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities: 

•         Design automation tests, plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures based on manual test plans, utilizing industry standard testing methodologies or processes

•         Document test plans, test cases, test execution and summary reports to ensure repeatability and compliance with standards

•         Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates; prioritizing work with general direction/minimal supervision

•         Provide feedback and recommendations to developers regarding software usability and functionality; Communicate project status to management team

Required Skills and Experience: 

•          Strong code/scripting skills (Python preferred)

•          Experience working in hybrid datacenter/cloud environments

•          Good working knowledge of web applications, data warehouses and RESTful API-based testing platforms (Selenium, Postman)

•          Experience working with complex network topologies and hardware 

•          AWS Experience (more than simply EC2 instances)

•          Working knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum) and tools ( Jira)

•          Configuration Management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible

•          Test and build systems such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven, Ant 

Basic Qualifications: 

•          Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field 

•          4+ years of relevant job experience ( Testing and Test Automation)
