Sr. Product Manager, Strategic Pricing12 month contractAtlanta, GA PURPOSEThe role of the Sr. Manager, Strategic Pricing reports into the ATS Pricing Director and will be responsible for defining Airlines/Airport Operations pricing strategy in close cooperation with the ATS Pricing Director, Portfolio Directors and the Geographies, managing the pricing portfolio of products and services of ATS to meet the revenue, margin, acquisition and retention of business objectives, while also supporting SITA community values. The individual will enhance ATS pricing from a “cost+ approach” to a “Value based Pricing approach” covering the full ATS portfolio. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe key responsibilities for the Sr. Manager, Strategic Pricing are as follows:
  • Design a customer centric pricing strategy:  Incorporate the 3Cs (Customer Insights, Competitive intelligence and Cost) in to the new pricing strategy approach; 
  • Develop a customer centric approach to the pricing strategy, using the latest techniques in market research, conjoint/DCM and other research methodologies where appropriate to garner the customer willingness to pay;  
  • use the findings from market research & competitive analysis to advise the ATS Portfolio teams in regards to trade-offs between features, willingness to pay and pricing; 
  • effectively model and report on value proposition segments to define and monitor pricing strategy;  
  • lead effective segmentation strategy and variance based analysis to define floor and ceiling price points of given portfolio 
 Perform competitive analysis: Lead in developing a competitive database using internal as well external data (market research, 3rd party vendors, competitor’s websites, financial statements etc.); develop a segmented view of SITA’s pricing power and leadership by market as to determine where SITA shall be the price setter versus the follower and provide a strategic view on where to discount or exert a price premium base on the competitive map. Support GTM Strategy: Liaise with the commercial pricing teams and geographies to understand the market dynamics for a proper design and roll out of the pricing strategy; validate and implement the pricing tool box defined by an external consultant in both standard and non-standard products; determine appropriate price books and discounts based on analysis of market climate, competition and product life cycle; contribute to bid approval process through regular reviews of price variance charts and metrics; provide support to non-standard proposals, price, cost and margin analysis and customer business cases; Other: Validate with Pricing Tools team on deployment of pricing solutions for new products; provide management with monthly KPIs metrics reporting; liaise with Billing for roll out of new pricing models; prepare all communication material about price book updates, including the appropriate price guidelines and bid strategy; lead effective price reviews on large opportunities with cross-functional divisional staff teams and assist in close strategy;  EXPERIENCE
  • 8 years + experience in a pricing and/or a product marketing management function with extensive experience in capturing the willingness to pay for both standard and non-standard solutions through marketing research techniques (Conjoint, Discrete Choice Modelling, PSM/Van Westendorp, Gabor-Granger)
  • Extensive experience in setting value proposition for products against competition, competing alternatives, and internal product offerings; Portfolio management very desirable
  • B2B2C, B2C or B2B experience with solid customer centric pricing experience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills including statistical analysis
  • General understanding of financial and cost accounting practices;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; 
  • Experience in working in highly matrix organization with global and/or international environments 
  • Excellent PC skills with proficiency with Microsoft Excel and preferably with additional database- SQL, Tableau.
  • MA in Economics, Statistics, Business, Marketing, Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA in a top tiered school highly preferred
