Systems Administrator:
Roswell, GA
Direct Hire

 Primary responsibility is to focus on the Server/Virtual environments. Must ensure that all servers are running at optimum performance, test restores from backup, and applying necessary patches and updates. Work on processes and project needed for future implementations. Will need to know and understand the basics of the Network Engineer’s position, along with knowing the Desktop Support environment.

 The System Administrator responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Configure, implement, support, & maintain all physical and virtual severs located in the branches and data center facilities
  • Support all current and future Operating Systems, such as Windows, Linux, VMware
  • Work cooperatively with the Network and Desktop groups when operations overlap
  • Backfill desktop support when needed and/or assist with 2nd tier desktop support
  • Ensuring that the servers meet our client’s standard and updated with the latest security patches.
  • Responsible for enforcing and maintaining standards within the NOC group (ie. Netware version and patch level the same across all servers in North America).
  • Implement and or maintain e-Mail system
  • Ensure Anti-Virus updates are applied within the server and workstation environments.
  • Streamline and automate backend processes (ie. Metafile conversion, Document Management).
  • Automate the send and receive functions between our business partners. (ie. Bank deposits, Germany, ADP
  • / Kronos, etc).
  • Automation of Disaster Recovery where possible. Responsible for Disaster Recovery testing.
  • Responsible for validation and testing of standards to make sure there is no impact to enterprise applications.
  • Design and scripting of the VMWare environments across the enterprise.
  • Setup, configure, maintain, and ensure all production or necessary servers are being backed up
  • Assist Network Engineer on an as needed basis.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
  Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years hands-on Windows System Administration experience in a production environment
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with MS Exchange
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with VMWare ESX, ESXi, and vSphere
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with MS SCCM
  • Experience designing and implementing projects including Active Directory, Microsoft server clustering, Windows DFS, Terminal Services and SQL Server
  • Must be self-directed and capable of working on several projects and efforts simultaneously
  • Some travel required
